COVID-19: Procedures to Protect Ourselves and Our Community (UPDATE)

March 26, 2020

COVID-19: Procedures to protect ourselves and our community as of July 31, 2020.

As BC continues to show signs of progress combating COVID-19, we are updating some procedures at Wave Productions. As always, we encourage any feedback, suggestions, questions or positive thoughts.

Contact details for Wave staff and partners are listed below. Please reach out to us.

Details of our current measures at Wave (which are subject to change as the situation) are:
1. We will welcome two attendees from agency or client-side to join us in the control room during session. All other participants should attend sessions virtually – to review and approve remotely. We have several options for efficiently communicating during sessions and for approvals, which include Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, Source Connect,or basic phone conference.
2. We will not be holding in-person audition sessions. Suitable performers will be asked to submit ‘self-taped’ auditions based on the script and direction we provide. Any performer needing more specific direction or feedback, is welcome to contact one of our audio producers (Craig Z, Craig W or Dave – see contact details below) prior to submitting their audition.
3. We are staggering sessions, which allows us to limit number of attendees at the studio, including staff, to 10 or fewer at any given time. And outside of their staggered attendance at Wave, all staff are staying home, practicing physical distancing and frequent hand washing
5. Performer call times are being staggered, and performers will always be recorded separately – always one performer in the booth at a time. As well, to avoid having us enter the isolated booth with the talent, we’re asking each performer to adjust their own mics and headphones, with verbal assistance from us if needed.
6. Prior to and immediately following each recording, mics, headphones, mic stands, music stands, pencils, cables, door handles and all surfaces in the studio and common areas will be sanitized.
7. If at any time prior to a confirmed session, the attending client or booked performer feels at all unwell or suspects they’ve come in contact with someone who is unwell, we ask that they immediately cancel attendance at Wave. We will also be contacting booked performers the evening prior to each session to allow them the opportunity to cancel if required. And finally, if we suspect a performer is less than 100% when they arrive for session, they will be asked to leave immediately

Thank you for your understanding and support. Please contact us for more information as per below.
